There are many interesting aspects in it. A key aspect of advanced aspects of mesmeric therapy is the use of non verbal communication and symbolism. Our institute is not only the transmitter of a very ancient tradition and the expression of an ancient hermetic knowledge divised in different degrees, (the first and only real mesmeric institute in teh world) we also continously try to build bridges with recent reasearches in the field of the non verbal.
Why non verbal communication?
Words access the upper mind, the rational mind. The difficult in accessing our deeper mind comes from the fact that as we enter in deeper states we tend to loose lucidity. If you try to access your deeper mind you will loose clarity of thought. To gain access to this part of us we must therefore adopt a different method. This part of ourself is a physical part and only through physicity can be accessed effectively. This means exactly non verbal communication and the use of symbols.
Physical symbolism is a about moving, gesturing and feeling our own body. Even a gesture can be a symbol. Through symbolism we acceed the deeper mind.
Hypnotizing and healing without words.
In our seminars many time we hypnotize just using non verbal elements as movements and gestures and the effects are stronger than using words as also the trances. Physical engendered trances are the deepest. The gaze is very strong in this field and as well the touch.
Modern scientific research and non verbal communication.
There is an increasing body of recent scientific researches on gesturing There is growing evidence that gesturing can go beyond reflecting thought and can play a role in changing thought. This is backed up by science and experiments. Scientific studies add weight to the claim that representing action in gesture embeds embodied information into mental representations of action. In fact, in another experiment, when the effects of gesturing about action and acting were pitted against one another, gesturing appeared increadibly to have a much stronger effect on the mental representation of the action than performing the action itself had (Broaders 2007 and Beilock & Goldin-Meadow).
Other experiments (Beilock & Goldin-Meadow) show that simulating an action on an imagined object in gesture seems to strengthen the link between the action and the mental representation of the object, and does so more than performing the action on the object in the physical world. This can explain why a symbol and the non verbal communication are elements which allows us to simultaneously operate at all the different levels and to contact our deeper mind.
How to “know” a symbol.
We have a body of knowledge that permitd that a symbol could be “known” at more than one level at the same time: -A physical level, via exercises of “vivification” of the same, and by feeling it directly in the body as a principle which comes alive in its physicality, both from a visual perspective and through its form;
– A mental level, by means of the meaning it carries in various fields of life;
-A moral and spiritual level.
The paretian and mesmeric way of healing gives you access to this profound and strong knowledge We can heal in this way at all levels. A symbol is a melting pot within which a series of different levels of reality converge into a single point.
From very old ages…
Also the ancient Egyptians were well aware of this concept, which explains why they used to write in symbols to which the Greeks gave the name “hieroglyphics”. Besides, by beginning to shape up a symbol at a physical level, the results of such working with it spread to the totality of the different levels.
