In the general public the image of Mesmerism is mainly defined through movies and the quality of the providers. Also for  the Mesmerism courses there are no legally relevant recognized quality checks or disciplinary councils, as it is normal for most qualified professions working with and having responsibility for people eg. psychotherapists, dentists, opticians, architects, surgeons, flying schools, laywers, butchers, clinical psychologists etc.

But mesmerism is even more. There is a philosophy of life and of being behind Mesmerism. Of verticality and being
centered. Mesmerism is different from hypnosis that is a branch of it. Most of the time hypnotists start from the mind and from speaking. We start from the body and from feeling. Somebody can be able to copy some part of our inductions and do some magnetic or some energetic inductions, but the real stuff is the therapy after it that really can change life.
Therapy is at many levels at the same time. This is the reason why only a direct experience can help to enter the system.
There is really a transmission not only of knowledge but of something else. A person practising mesmerism must be initiated by somebody else ; and it is better that his master be a high level master as otherwise can be very difficult after for a student to evolve further.

It is bad that lack of formal checks, qualifications and quality oversight in Mesmerism and pushy marketing drives of
minimally qualified persons regretably has led to many forms of abuse. A real mesmerist must be a fit person, energetic. magnetic, open and in good health. Also he must have experience of the profound european tradition where mesmerism was born, that is a tradition where mesmerism is part of a path leading to an higher awakening.

On the other side professional practitioners of Mesmerism, if trained and used correctly, have an highly efficient concept and can give high results in applied psychology, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. Also they can contribute to the academic research in the energetic fields. They can help people to gain a new sensitivity.

The following differentiations are based on:

Even if there is only an authentic school, many have tried to copy. Worldwide we can find many Levels of mesmeric practitioner courses with subsequent higher level trainings:

Level 5 ***** Mesmeric therapy and connection to hermetic philosophy and societies. This is the true stuff.

Level 4 **** Professional Mesmerism (Trainer courses): many days, externally accredited programs, max. 25 participants, highly accredited trainer teams, access to hermetic knowledge. This is the true stuff of our accredited centers

Level 3 *** Low level Mesmerism: simple 5 days surface courses for the big mass

Level 2 ** Mesmerism games: 5 – 10 days in large groups, the moneymaker and rippoff fiestas and no conncetion to
hermeticism

Level 1 * Online Mesmerism courses: well .. buy your diplomas 🙁 Just to enter. In reality seeing a video is like seeing
somebody swimming. It is different from real swimming. A video lacks always the inner element. You cannot know the real interior states. Many people say to be mesmerists. They should develop these inner elements as they are the most important and they make the difference.

Professional Mesmerism bring a person to manage the inner and the outer world. Brings results in life and therapy.
Professional Mesmerism need access to the original tradition and needs to be a Path of awakening.

Oswald Wirth, a scholar of symbolism and also a past initiate of some organizations connected to this teaching as we are, said that these disciplines should be taught in three levels similar to the ancient greek mysteries. The real learning is similar to accessing an inner sanctuary were powerful forces are concealed.

Mesmer himself was espousing an art that had its source among certain inner schools in the continent . These inner
teachings and how they informed Magnetism are the real thing of importance . Oswald Wirth whom we mentioned had some contact with these currents , but in fact they belong to other even more secret and very important teachings that have never been taught openly . The creation of certain kinds of internal states cannot be learnt through videos , but only through specific important teachings that require a real and disciplined application by the student .

This is what will give the most important and rewarding results , not only for the recipients of the magnetist but also for the Operator himself . This sensitivity and level of application has nothing to do with attempts at impressing people or showmanship .
There are many ways for magnetism …but only a few ways to heal successfully. And here there are only a few teachers who really can tell what passes to use by certain illness and not only to impress

About distant courses and the importance of a live transmission
The results with the clients depend from the inner states of the mesmerists. It is a philosophy of life and being before
being a technique.
Therefore it is very difficult to transmit it at a distance.
In hypnosis we don’t have succesful hypnotists that learnt just from books. They all learnt from other people. Even
practitioner of ericksonian hypnosis, that is mainly verbal, need to attend a class. There is no practitioner of
ericksonian hypnosis that has learnt just online or from books. Also here there is some sort of transmission that must be done live.
In mesmerism this transmission is much more important because

1. techniques are non verbal.
2. there is a “psychic atmosphere” that must be grasped and to which you must attune when you work with a patient
3. most of the people are not able to do attention to their inner sensation so they must be thaugt to directly
4. there is a philosophy of life and a centering that the practitioner must possess. In theory it is very natural. In
   practice in our fast pace world is very difficult to achieve and manatain. Hermetic schools know the secret to bring the person to the center, as it is a discipline in itself that can bring to very high levels. And also in this field we speak
   of transmission.
5. Distant courses don’t permit to evaluate people that want to participate in them and it is not possible to help them to get rid of their bad habits: for example to much ego, or a not fit attitude.
   A mesmerist should be a fit person, energetic, magnetic, not selfish, open.

Based on an older traditions, Professional Mesmerism curricula and design were open to the public in Nice 2006 and are directly supervised by dr. Paret. Today there are professional centers in various countries, with several more coming soon.
